Granite Productions was launched in 2014 to fulfill the need for seamless B2B and B2C experiential events. Since then, Granite has executed hundreds of customized, impactful events across North America. Granite Productions serves the travel/tourism, automotive and pharmaceutical industries, providing innovative custom solutions that engage users. Granite is proud to be aligned with some of North America’s most influential brands.

Principals

Michael Price

A 25-year veteran of the tourism sector, Michael has worked with travel professionals at all levels, in countries all over the world. He has guided businesses from the ground up–from negotiating, financing, and marketing for new builds, to increasing sales at established hotels. Born in London, England, Michael now lives in Toronto with his wife. Outside of the office, Michael likes to cook, sail, and of course, travel.

Bradley Dean

A natural communicator, entrepreneur, and negotiator, Brad is passionate about helping clients meet their goals. Brad served as the Director of Sponsorship with Premier Consumer Shows and delivered impactful integrated print, digital and experiential programs in some of the counties largest consumer events including The Golf & Travel Show, The Wine & Cheese Show, Good Food Festival and numerous consumer B2B and B2C platforms.

Advisory Board

We are delighted to welcome an experienced and seasoned group of Travel Executives to the advisory board to help guide us with The Virtual Travel and Leisure Show. Granite is particularly keen to ensure we include important information that consumers and trade alike will need as well as engaging with a broad range of relevant speakers. Key will also be to enable exhibitors to use the best technology to interact with consumers and make bookings.

Denise Heffron

Managing Director, Canada - Uplift Inc

Denise is responsible for spearheading Uplift’s expansion into the Canadian market with a mission to make travel more accessible, affordable and rewarding for all. In addition, she has recently has added Travel Advisor strategy for North America to her portfolio. She is one of Canada’s leading travel executives with a proven track record in sales development, growth, and profitability. Prior to joining Uplift, Denise held a number of senior-level positions within the Transat organization including Director of Marketing, General Manager and Vice President Commercial. She is a well-known contributor to the industry and has served as a board member for the Travel Industry Council of Ontario and the Canadian Association of Tour Operators. Denise holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Western Ontario.

Kathryn Munro

Director of International Sales and Marketing - CanaDream

Kathryn is an experienced business leader with specialism in commercial, sales and marketing. Starting her career in the retail sector in Marks and Spencer Plc (7 years), before moving to the airline sector at Ryanair (4 years), then onto tour operating at Canadian Affair (15 years), seeing through its acquisition by Transat AT and managing the airline Air Transat brand and its UK commercial & marketing operations. Kathryn was the Managing Director for the latter 5 years. After more than 20 years living away from home, Kathryn sought a change of career/family balance and joined the CanaDream team to lead the sales, marketing and commercial business from her base in Scotland. Kathryn has 3 teenage children and enjoys all sports, especially running, mountain biking, skiing. Travel and Canada has been a massive part of her life and always remains a central part of her being.

John Kirk

President and Editor-In-Chief of TravelPulse Canada

John Kirk is President and Editor-In-Chief of TravelPulse Canada, based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He has been in the Travel Industry for over 25 years, working in the Tour Operator and Aviation space with Porter Airlines, where he founded PorterEscapes.com, and Thomas Cook North America as SVP E-Commerce and Retail Distribution. He was responsible for some of Canada’s legendary retail brands such as, The Last Minute Club, Bel Air Travel, Avion Travel, and Algonquin Travel, covering on-line, store front, and call centre, with annual retail sales in excess of over 500 million dollars generated by a retail sales force of over 350 Travel Advisors across Canada.

Lindsay Pearlman

Senior Vice President for Travel Leaders Network

With over 25 years in the travel industry Pearlman serves and a Senior Vice President for Travel Leaders Network developing opportunities within North America and with International Partners.

Previously with Ensemble Travel Group as Co – President for 12 years. Prior to Ensemble, Pearlman was with American Express Global Travel Services for 11 years in a variety of roles. He also served on several industry advisory boards, including at Starwood Hotels & Resorts and the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA).

Andrew Lovesey

Manager of Editorial and Travel Partnerships - The Royal Canadian Geographic Society

Andrew Lovesey is the Manager of Editorial and Travel Partnerships for Canadian Geographic and The Royal Canadian Geographical Society. As the travel lead at Canadian Geographic, Canada’s second most-read magazine, Andrew engages with tourism boards and travel companies—domestically and abroad—while overseeing a number of Society-led partnerships with tour operators. He has written for some of Canada’s finest publications including the Globe and Mail, National Post, Canadian Geographic, FLARE and ELLE Canada. He is a Student Member of the Explorers Club in New York, a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, a Fellow of the International Strategic Studies Association in D.C., Chevalier of The Star of Honour of Ethiopia and a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal recipient. Andrew has been working in the marketing industry for nearly 10 years and specializes in stakeholder and community engagement leveraging digital and social mediums. Prior to working for Canadian Geographic, he consulted for one of Canada’s leading travel and tourism PR firms, advising tourism boards, hotels, cruise lines and various non-profits on digital strategy. Andrew currently sits on a number of advisory boards and provides strategic consultation to a number of organizations in the policy, property development, non-profit and tourism sectors.
